Are you ready to live life as God intended it ?

God does have a plan for our lives that many or even most people give little attention, but the missed blessings are significant. Who wouldn’t want the Lord to be their rear guard?

Alan Andrews

Conference Speakers

Alan Andrews has worked with the Navigators for 40 years with college and community ministry in the US, Canada and Asia. In the early 90s he worked to direct and establish ministries in Asia. He was then appointed as the U.S. National Field Leader and oversaw business, professional, collegiate, military and youth ministries. From 1997 to last August, Alan labored as Director of the Navigators overseeing the work of over 1800 missionaries serving in the United States and overseas.

Eddie Broussard

Eddie Broussard graduated Texas A&M in pre-med and with graduate studies in education and as a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. His work in a rich variety of endeavors from being a high school chemistry teacher, to directing college ministries for the Navigators, to pastoring urban, African-American and Hispanic churches, to mission development in the former Soviet Union have given Eddie a wealth of ministry experiences to draw from. His sensitivity to ethnic concerns has grown out of his Creole, African-American heritage and from his rich ministry experience. His service to the Navigators has helped to insure their ministry will be diverse and far-reaching.

Corey Widmer

Corey Widmer graduated from the University of Virginia and worked for three years in London as “Study Assistant” for Rev. John Stott, a noted pastor, author and speaker. After returning to the U.S., Corey earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. In 2005 corey and his wife, Sarah, moved to Richmond into the old North Church Hill neighborhood. There they joined a group of friends who are committed to Christian community development and racial reconciliation. He also joined the staff of Third Presbyterian Church as Associate pastor and in 2008 as co-pastor of the East End Fellowship, a multi-ethnic neighborhood congregation in Church Hill. Corey and Sarah are the proud parents of three daughters and enjoys hiking, running, bird-watching.

Percy Strickland

Percy Strickland, a farm boy from North Carolina attended Duke University where he became involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Percy also started tutoring and mentoring with Agape Corner, a Christian Boarding school for inner-city children and met his bride to be, Angie, at Duke. After a year of classes at Duke Divinity School Percy went on staff with InterVarsity. After an internship at William and Mary, they moved to Richmond. Percy and Angie moved to Church Hill in 2001where he founded CHAT (Church Hill Activities and Tutoring) with a community of Christians seeking to use “radical hospitality” (open homes) to transform lives in a hurting community. Percy also completed his M/Div degree from Union Theological Seminary. Currently he is completing his PhD in Biblical Studies from Union amid an ever-growing family of 4 children with one on the way.
